The City of Plano hosted the dedication ceremony on Thursday, April 27 for the Trails at Legacy sculptures at Baccus Plaza, Located in the new addition of The Shops at Legacy (north side of Legacy Drive).
Representing our history in the middle of growth and development provides unique character for the location. The sculptures depict a cattle drive and include a vaquero, numerous cattle and the cattle driver. The sculptures are the work of Mr. Robert Summers, a native Texan with prominent bronze work displayed throughout the country and in places such as the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame Museum, the Dallas Convention Center, the Anatole Hotel, and Fair Park.
The sculptures are a part of the newest development at The Shops at Legacy and encompass the Baccus Cemetery, established in 1847 and one of the oldest cemeteries in Collin County. |
