Legacy is proud to welcome Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union to the community. Southwest Corporate is the second largest corporate credit union in the U.S. They serve more than 1,200 credit unions nation wide and have assets of over $9 billion. Southwest Corporate currently serves the financial needs of credit unions in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and nationwide. Nearly 30 years ago, credit unions banded together to form Southwest Corporate for many of the same reasons that any other credit union is formed - to serve the interests of its members. Credit unions wanted an alternative to using a competitor, commercial bank, for their financial service needs.

As a credit union for credit unions, Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union provides credit unions ATM & debit card services, imaged item processing, electronic bill payment, funds management solutions and so much more.  They offer many unique financial services like their online transaction system – TranZact designed for credit members to more effectively conduct their daily Southwest Corporate business. This system provides credit unions with more immediate access to information, such as account balances and history, as well as the ability to order ATM and debit cards, print check images, and receive ACH, ATM, and share draft transmissions.

Currently in their new location, SCFCU employs more than 200 people, another 23 people in its Houston Item Processing facility, 14 people at the Jacksonville, Florida site, and an additional ten people in the newest site located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Southwest Corporate sponsors many credit union and league-affiliated events throughout the year and its employees are locally involved in such national awareness campaigns as the Children’s Miracle Network, Walk America, and Race for the Cure.
