This quarter’s spotlight falls on The Campus at Legacy

The Campus at Legacy is a fairly new concept conceived and developed by Koll Development Company. The Campus at Legacy offers 1.2 million square feet on an oversized and flexible 107-acre site situated among walking trails and a lake.  It is positioned as the ideal location for mid-size to larger companies with the vision of growing and expanding their businesses over time. The value proposition is of course based on all of the many excellent amenities and lifestyle aspects that Legacy provides.

With its location in the Legacy Business Park in Plano, Texas, The Campus at Legacy offers a tremendous location in the one of America’s finest corporate developments. The Campus at Legacy has been hidden from view behind heavy security and off the market since it’s initial development under EDS’s ownership. KDC acquired the property in September, 2005 and began the re-development in February, 2006. The first phase was to remove the security barriers and establish an attractive and inviting new main entrance to the property along with other significant enhancements to the exterior common areas of the 107 acre site. The oversized nature of the site allows for incredible flexibility to customize the site to meet a major tenant’s specific needs for additional parking, office or special purpose space. Future phases will be primarily driven by the needs of a major tenant(s) as discussed in the following section.

At 1.2 Million Square Feet, it is the largest block in the DFW Region and the only true Campus option, situated in a prime corporate campus location. The project contains three, +/- 400,000 Square Foot, low-rise buildings situated on a large, flexible 107 acre site with mature landscaping, walking trails and a lake.

The Campus is located directly off the Dallas North Tollway between SH 190 and SH 121. It is accessed via Legacy Drive or Tennyson Parkway providing two convenient points of ingress & egress. DFW Airport, one of the worlds most traveled centers for national and international flights and Love Field, a regional airport that serves as the hub for Southwest Airlines, are both approximately 25 minutes away.

This campus is sure to attract many companies and corporations with moderate housing costs coupled with affordable property taxes and no state income tax. In comparison to major metropolitan centers on the east and west coast, Plano offers a significantly lower cost of living. We are excited to have the Campus at Legacy established in our community and it will serve as home to many new companies locating here in the future.
